“This is a great moment, when you see, however distant, the goal of your wandering. The thing which has been living in your imagination suddenly become part of the tangible world. It matters not how many ranges, rivers or parching dusty ways may lie between you; it is yours now for ever.” |
Okay, I realise this was forever ago, but can I just bring everyone’s attention to this scene again. I think it was possibly one of the most incredible performances I’ve ever seen. It rivalled the likes of Heath Ledger’s Joker, in my opinion. Which is why it totally sucks that we only got two scenes of it.
At one moment Misha is Castiel, full of remorse for what he has done and begging for forgiveness from Dean. Then the next second he’s screaming for them to run, and suddenly…‘Too late!’ That instantaneous switch from being Castiel to being the vessel for hundreds of Leviathans. I can’t even begin to explain how mind-blown I was at his acting in this scene. It came out of nowhere, and I had no idea Misha Collins was capable of such a performance.
I’ve truly resented the show this season, and not just for deciding to take away everything I actually like about it. It seems like the worst kind of missed opportunity that this character wasn’t the Big Bad of the season. An insane, Joker-esque Misha at the head of an army of Leviathans who are running amok, mindlessly murdering and eating people would have probably become my favourite season. But instead we get this well-organised (boring) group of monsters who are infiltrating human society, attempting to take over the world.
#yep #misha absolutely KILLED it #especially considering we had godstiel castiel and leviastiel all in a single episode #but lolol NOPE #no1currr about good acting #the leviathans could have been absolutely batshit insane #lololol let’s make them attempt to infiltrate the government and pour cheese on people’s heads instead #or whatever they’re doing idk tbh #never mind that they’ve been locked in purgatory forever #and therefore should have little understanding of the human world and its petty politics #but i digress #supernatural: throwing away amazing potential since ‘05
